  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch Helps with the crispiness
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder

  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 2 units Eggs, beaten Acts as glue for coating
  • for frying Vegetable Oil Can also use air fryer

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by cutting the chicken breast into tender strips. Try to make them uniform in size for even cooking.
  • In one bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • In another bowl, beat the eggs. This will act as the glue for your chicken tenders.
  • Dip each chicken strip first in the egg wash, allowing any excess to drip off, then dredge it in the seasoned flour mixture.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken tenders and fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Remove the cooked chicken tenders from the oil and let them drain on paper towels. Serve immediately.

Notes

Substitutions can include using whole wheat flour or baking in an air fryer for a lower-fat alternative. Ensure oil is hot before adding chicken to achieve crispy texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
