Cottage Cheese Queso Dip is a creamy, protein-packed twist on the classic cheese dip. It’s rich and satisfying, blending cottage cheese with bold Tex-Mex flavors to create a healthier yet indulgent snack.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cottage cheese preferably small curd
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 small jalapeño finely diced (optional for heat)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ cup milk or more for desired consistency
  • 1 small Roma tomato finely diced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
  • ¼ tsp salt adjust to taste
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Blend the Base
  • In a blender or food processor, blend the cottage cheese until smooth and creamy.
  • Add a splash of milk if needed to achieve a smooth texture.
  • Step 2: Heat the Dip
  • Transfer the blended cottage cheese to a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Stir in the shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, whisking until melted and fully incorporated.
  • Step 3: Add the Spices
  • Mix in the cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Step 4: Add Fresh Ingredients
  • Stir in the diced jalapeño (if using) and tomato. Heat for another 2-3 minutes to soften the tomato.
  • Step 5: Garnish and Serve
