  • 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup Chopped green onions
  • ¼ cup Sliced jalapeños Optional, for a kick
  • 1 can Cream of chicken soup (Halal-certified) 10.5 oz
  • 1 teaspoon Chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Pat the chicken breasts dry and season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, chili powder, and paprika.

Cooking

  • Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken breasts and sear them for about 4-5 minutes on each side until beautifully golden.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and pour the cream of chicken soup evenly over the chicken. Sprinkle the cheddar cheese, sliced jalapeños, and green onions on top.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with extra green onions if desired.

Notes

For deeper flavor, consider marinating the chicken for 30 minutes before cooking. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days or freeze for up to three months. To reheat, thaw overnight and heat in the oven at 350°F for about 15-20 minutes.
