Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour (plus more for dusting) Make sure to spoon and level your flour.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons) Ensure it's fresh for best results.
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F or 43°C) Should be warm but not hot.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs, at room temperature Leave out for about 30 minutes before starting.

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.
  • Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and add warm milk, melted butter, and eggs. Use a wooden spoon to combine until a loose dough forms.
  • Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. The dough should be slightly tacky but not sticky.
  • Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it has doubled in size.
  • Punch down the risen dough and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a ball. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish.
  • Cover the shaped rolls with a towel again and let them rise for another 30–45 minutes, or until they have puffed up.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly in the pan before serving. Optionally, brush them with melted butter for extra richness.

Notes

These rolls can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Freeze them for up to 2 months. Reheat in a 350°F oven for about 10 minutes or microwave for 15-20 seconds.
