Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound cooked lobster meat, chopped Fresh lobster is best.
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • to taste Salt and pepper Add to taste
  • 4 pieces New England-style hot dog rolls
  • Butter for toasting the rolls
  • Lettuce leaves (optional, for garnish) Optional for added crunch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook and chop your lobster meat into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped lobster meat with mayonnaise, lemon juice, and freshly chopped chives. Season with salt and pepper to taste, gently folding everything together.

Cooking

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add a bit of butter and toast the hot dog rolls until golden brown, approximately 2-3 minutes on each side.

Assembly

  • Layer in some lettuce in the toasted rolls if desired, then generously fill them with the lobster mixture.

Serving

  • Serve your Classic Lobster Rolls with extra lemon wedges and maybe some chips or a side salad.

Notes

Store leftover lobster mixture separately from the rolls to maintain freshness. It can be kept for up to 2 days in an airtight container.
