  • 4 pieces ripe peaches (halved and pitted) Choose peaches that are ripe for the best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter (melted) Can substitute with melted coconut oil for a healthier option.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cut each peach in half and remove the pit. Place the halves in a baking dish cut side up.
  • In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir well until evenly mixed.
  • Drizzle melted butter over the peach halves. Then, sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture generously over each peach.

Baking

  • Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the peaches are tender and the topping is bubbly.

Serving

  • Once done, remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve warm, topping with whipped cream or a sprinkle of crushed nuts if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
