  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking the Rice

  • Begin by cooking the rice according to package instructions.

Marinating the Steak

  • While the rice is cooking, take your steak and sprinkle it with salt, pepper, cumin, and garlic powder.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and lime juice, then let it marinate for about 10 minutes.

Cooking the Steak

  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Once hot, add the marinated steak and sear for about 3-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness.
  • If your steak is thicker, you might need to cook it a little longer.

Resting and Slicing
