  • 4 cups Rice Krispies cereal The base of the treats.
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows Provides the gooey texture.
  • 3 tablespoons butter Essential for flavor and binding.
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon Key flavor ingredient.
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar Used for the cinnamon sugar mix.
  • a pinch salt Optional, for balancing sweetness.

Preparation

  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  • In a large saucepan over low heat, melt the 3 tablespoons of butter.
  • Add in the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and slowly add the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring gently until fully coated.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press down firmly.
  • Let the treats cool for about 10-15 minutes to set, then cut into squares.
  • In a small bowl, mix the sugar with the cinnamon and sprinkle generously over the top.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Microwave for a few seconds to enjoy warm again.
