Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar (divided) Use 1 cup for batter, ½ cup for coating.
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter (softened) At room temperature.
  • 2 large eggs At room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Coating

  • 0.5 cup cinnamon sugar (for coating) For sprinkling on top.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth it out evenly.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Once baked, let the bars cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle the tops generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Allow to cool slightly before slicing into bars. Serve warm for the best experience!

Notes

To store leftover Churro Bars, place them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds before serving.
