  • 2 pieces ripe bananas, sliced Ensure they are ripe for sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips Ensure Halal-certified.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup For sweetness, can customize.
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts Such as walnuts or almonds.

Preparation

  • Line a baking sheet (approximately 9x13 inches) with parchment paper, ensuring edges are covered for easy removal.
  • In a large bowl, stir the Greek yogurt and honey or maple syrup until well combined and smooth.
  • Pour the yogurt mixture onto the lined baking sheet, spreading it evenly to about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Scatter your sliced bananas, dark chocolate chips, and chopped nuts over the yogurt base. Press them gently into the surface.
  • Place the baking sheet in the freezer for at least 3-4 hours or until the bark is solid and easy to break into pieces.
  • Once frozen, remove it from the baking sheet, break it into pieces, and serve immediately.

Notes

This dessert can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to a month. It can be customized with various toppings like seeds or shredded coconut.
