  • 1 cup pecan halves Roasted pecan halves for added flavor
  • 1 cup chewy caramel candies Or homemade caramel
  • 1 tablespoon milk Used for softening caramel
  • 8 ounces semisweet or dark chocolate chips High-quality chocolate for richer flavor
  • to taste sea salt Optional, for topping

Preparation

  • Start by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the pecan halves on a baking sheet and toast for about 8-10 minutes.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chewy caramel candies with 1 tablespoon of milk and microwave in 30-second intervals until melted.

Assembly

  • Drop a small dollop of caramel onto the prepared parchment paper and place 2-3 pecan halves on top, pressing down.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in another microwave-safe bowl using the same method as the caramel.
  • Drizzle or spoon the melted chocolate over each caramel-pecan dollop until well coated.
  • Optionally, sprinkle sea salt on top and refrigerate for about 30 minutes until set.

Serving

  • Remove clusters from the parchment and serve immediately, or store in an airtight container.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, in the fridge for two weeks, or freeze for up to a month. Avoid reheating in the microwave.
