Ingredients
  

For the Brownie Base

  • 1 box Brownie Mix Use a packaged brownie mix or prepare homemade.
  • 2 large Eggs For the brownie mix.
  • Water As directed on the brownie mix.
  • Oil As directed on the brownie mix.

For the Cookie Layer

  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Butter Softened.
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 large Egg For the cookie layer.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips Semi-sweet.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, water, and oil according to package instructions, and stir until well blended.
  • In another bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  • Gradually stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt into the cookie mixture. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, smoothing it out evenly.
  • Drop spoonfuls of cookie dough on top of the brownie batter and gently spread it if desired.
  • Bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Cooling and Serving

  • Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before slicing them into squares. Enjoy!

Notes

For the best results, follow the brownie mix instructions closely, use room temperature ingredients, and avoid overbaking. Feel free to add mix-ins like nuts or different chocolate chips for variety.
