Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon ginger powder
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional) for added flavor
  • to taste Green onions for garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine chicken pieces with cornstarch, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and ginger powder. Toss until the chicken is well-coated.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. If using sesame oil, add a splash for extra flavor once the vegetable oil is hot.
  • Add the seasoned chicken to the skillet in a single layer. Allow them to cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until golden brown. Then, flip the pieces and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until cooked through.
  • Toss in the sliced green and red bell peppers and continue cooking for an extra 2-3 minutes until they are tender yet crisp.
  • Once everything is cooked to perfection, serve it hot, garnished with chopped green onions for added freshness.

Notes

Adjust seasoning to taste. Consider using chili powder for an extra kick. For best results, avoid overcrowding the pan during cooking to maintain crispiness.
