  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs Can substitute with crushed crackers or oats.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley Fresh parsley is best.
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 egg Large egg is recommended.
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning Adds flavor to the meatballs.

For the Sauce

  • 1 jar marinara sauce (about 24 oz) Store-bought or homemade can be used.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure even cooking.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, minced garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix gently until just combined.
  • Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1-inch in diameter, and place them on a lined baking sheet.

Cooking

  • Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
  • While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Once the meatballs are done, transfer them to the skillet with the sauce and let them simmer for another 5 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken meatballs warm over pasta, rice, or on their own. Enjoy!

Notes

You can customize the meatballs with your favorite spices or vegetables. For larger batches, freeze uncooked meatballs for up to 3 months.
