Dry Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened) Use room temperature butter.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter with granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, along with the vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  • Gradually blend the dry ingredient mixture into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

Baking

  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes for thicker cookies. Reheat in the microwave for fresh taste.
