  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced Turkey sausage or kielbasa can be used as alternatives.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese.
  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix Substitute with other dressing mixes if desired.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish Adds a fresh touch when serving.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine halved potatoes, smoked sausage, olive oil, ranch dressing mix, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Spread the mixture onto a baking sheet in a single layer.

Cooking

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.

Serving

  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving. Serve hot in bowls or on a platter.

Notes

If storing leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave, adding extra cheese for flavor.
