  • 1 large pizza dough (store-bought or homemade) Use refrigerated or homemade dough.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese For a gooey filling.
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni Can be adjusted according to preference.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Adds Italian flavor.
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder Enhances the savory taste.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For brushing on roll-ups.
  • 1 cup pizza sauce For dipping.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • On a floured surface, roll out your pizza dough into a rectangle about ¼ inch thick.
  • Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Add the sliced pepperoni and sprinkle with oregano and garlic powder.
  • Carefully roll the dough from one long end to the other, pinching the seams to seal the roll-up.
  • Slice the roll into 1-inch thick pieces and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  • Drizzle or brush a little olive oil over the roll-ups.
  • Bake in your preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes. Serve with warm pizza sauce on the side.

Notes

Customize the roll-ups with your favorite veggies like bell peppers or mushrooms. If using store-bought dough, let it come to room temperature before rolling out.
