Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Boil a large pot of salted water, add penne pasta, and cook according to package instructions until al dente (about 10-12 minutes). Drain and set aside.

Cooking the Beef

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat, add ground beef, and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula (about 5-7 minutes). Drain any excess fat.

Adding Garlic and Butter

  • Lower the heat, add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until garlic is fragrant but not browned.

Combine and Serve

  • Add the drained penne to the skillet, stir to combine, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Sprinkle cheese over the mixture, cover the skillet, and let sit for 2 minutes until cheese melts.
  • Garnish with parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For a cheesier result, consider baking the mixture after combining for a golden crust. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
