  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Or use a homemade version if preferred.
  • 1 cup milk Helps create a creamy texture.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with diced onions until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  • In a separate bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup with milk. Season with salt, pepper, and any additional spices you prefer.

Layering Ingredients

  • In a greased casserole dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by the cooked ground beef mixture, and half of the cheese.
  • Pour half of the soup mixture over the top. Repeat with the remaining potatoes, beef, and soup.
  • Finally, sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top layer.

Baking

  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
