  • 1 small green cabbage chopped
  • 1 medium Vidalia onion chopped
  • 8 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can 10 oz cream of chicken or mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until softened.
  • Stir in the chopped cabbage and cook until slightly wilted. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the cream of chicken or mushroom soup to the skillet and mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is golden brown.
  • Let cool slightly before serving.
