  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional, like walnuts or pecans) Add for a crunchy texture.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Wash the apples and carefully core them, leaving the bottom intact.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and sour cream. Beat until creamy and smooth.
  • Stir in the cinnamon and any chopped nuts, mixing until well incorporated.
  • Fill each apple with the cheesecake mixture, packing it in well.

Baking

  • Place the stuffed apples in a baking dish. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  • Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the filling is slightly set.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with additional honey or sprinkle with more cinnamon.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the microwave as needed.
