Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your favorite cheese) Feel free to use different types of cheese.
  • 1/4 cup diced onion Optional: can be swapped with other diced vegetables.
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 12 pieces eggroll wrappers
  • for frying oil cooking oil Your choice for frying.

  • to taste sliced pickles Great for adding crunch.
  • to taste lettuce Add for freshness.
  • to taste favorite dipping sauces Ketchup or mustard suggested.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in the diced onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onion is tender.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and add the shredded cheese to the beef mixture. Stir until the cheese is melted and everything is well combined.
  • Place an eggroll wrapper on a flat surface with a corner pointing towards you. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture in the center.
  • Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly towards the top corner. Seal with water if needed.

Cooking

  • In a deep skillet, heat about an inch of cooking oil over medium-high heat.
  • Carefully place the eggrolls into the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • Serve warm with your favorite condiments, and enjoy!

Notes

To store leftovers, keep them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in an oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes to maintain crispiness.
