Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel bits or chopped caramels

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In another mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  • Add the cream cheese and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the caramel bits.
  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
