  • 1 box 15.25 oz cake mix (vanilla, chocolate, or any preferred flavor)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup toffee bits
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional) For added richness
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) For added crunch

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish lightly with butter or non-stick spray.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, softened butter, and eggs. Stir until well mixed into a thick batter.
  • Gently fold in the toffee bits and any chocolate chips or chopped nuts, if using.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

Baking

  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, until the edges are golden.
  • Check if a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow the bars to cool in the pan before cutting them into squares.

Notes
