Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti or noodles of your choice Feel free to use any type of noodle you prefer.
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional) For garnish

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your choice of spaghetti or noodles and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of the pasta water, then drain the noodles and set them aside.
  • In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic, stirring continuously. Cook until the garlic is fragrant but not browned—about 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the drained noodles to the skillet, and pour in a little of that reserved pasta water. Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated in the buttery garlic sauce.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning as necessary.
  • For an extra touch of flavor, sprinkle some chopped fresh parsley over the top. Serve immediately.

Notes

If you're looking for a lighter option, consider substituting half of the butter with olive oil or using vegan butter. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet with a splash of water or broth.
