Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, salt, and instant yeast.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients into the butter-sugar mixture, alternating with the warm water, and mix until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack. Let it cool completely before slicing.

Notes
