  • 8 oz bow tie pasta
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, diced (any color)
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/3 cup black olives, sliced (optional) Optional ingredient for additional flavor
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled (optional) Optional ingredient for creaminess
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Dressing

  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing Zesty dressing that enhances flavor

Instructions
 

Cooking the Pasta

  • Boil salted water in a large pot and add the bow tie pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 9-11 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.

Preparing the Vegetables

  • Chop and slice the vegetables: halve the cherry tomatoes, dice the cucumber, and chop the bell pepper and red onion into bite-sized pieces. Prepare olives and feta if using.

Combining Ingredients

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, bell pepper, red onion, olives (if using), and basil. Toss gently.

Dressing the Salad

  • Drizzle the Italian dressing over the salad and season with salt and pepper to taste. Toss gently until everything is evenly coated.

Chilling the Salad

  • Let the salad chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Customize by swapping out vegetables or adding protein like chicken. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Can be frozen for up to 2 months without dressing.
