Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup cream cheese (softened) Use regular or low-fat cream cheese.
  • 1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or unflavored) Choose your preferred flavor.
  • 1 cup rolled oats Old-fashioned oats work best.
  • 1/2 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen) If using frozen, let them thaw slightly.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Natural sweeteners.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pure vanilla extract adds richness.
  • 1 pinch salt Enhances flavor.

Preparation

  • In a medium-sized bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, protein powder, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt. Fold together until smooth and creamy.
  • Gradually mix in the rolled oats to create a thick batter.
  • Gently fold in your blueberries, being careful not to break them up too much.
  • Cover the mixture and place it in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
  • Once chilled, scoop out about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into small balls. Place them on a lined baking tray.
  • For optimal firmness, place the bites back in the fridge for another 30 minutes before serving.
  • Snack on them straight out of the fridge or pack them for later.

Notes

These bites can be frozen for up to three months. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week.
