Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar

  • 1 cup milk

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C).
  • In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until evenly combined.
  • Pour in the melted butter and milk. Stir until just combined; avoid overmixing for a lumpy batter.
  • Gently fold in the fresh blueberries.
  • Pour the biscuit mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Baking

  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  • A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.
  • Allow the biscuits to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For a healthier version, substitute all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour. For lactose-free option, use dairy-free milk and butter alternative. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 mins or microwave for 30-60 seconds.
