Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined) Fresh shrimp is preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper Adjust to taste.
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage For crunch.
  • Lime wedges For serving.

Chipotle Aioli

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1-2 teaspoons chipotle in adobo sauce More or less for desired spice.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • to taste Salt

Instructions
 

Prepare the Chipotle Aioli

  • Whisk together mayonnaise, chipotle in adobo sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, and salt in a bowl. Taste and adjust to your preference, then refrigerate to let the flavors meld.

Cook the Shrimp

  • In a large bowl, combine shrimp, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Make sure the shrimp is evenly coated with the spice mixture.
  • Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until shrimp is opaque and cooked through.

Warm the Tortillas

  • Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.

Assemble the Tacos

  • Place a generous amount of shredded cabbage on each tortilla, top with blackened shrimp, and finish with a drizzle of chipotle aioli.
  • Serve with lime wedges on the side for that zesty kick!

Notes

For extra flavor, lightly char your tortillas on the grill before adding the fillings. If using leftovers, store shrimp and tortillas separately.
