  • 1 medium onion, sliced

Preparation

  • Start by thinly slicing your boneless chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces.
  • In a bowl, mix the chicken with soy sauce, black pepper, and sesame oil. Allow it to marinate for about 10-15 minutes.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Add the marinated chicken to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic, sliced onion, bell pepper, and broccoli. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender but still crisp.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet, add oyster sauce if desired, and stir everything well to combine and heat through.
  • Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

To enhance your stir-fry, feel free to swap in favorite vegetables like snap peas or mushrooms, and always use freshly ground black pepper for the best flavor.
