Filling

  • 1 cup 1 cup shredded cheese (like cheddar, swiss, or your favorite variety)
  • 1 cup 1 cup diced vegetables (like spinach, bell peppers, or mushrooms)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh herbs for garnish (like parsley or chives)

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish, trimming any excess edges. Prick the bottom with a fork to prevent bubbling.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Stir in the cheese and diced vegetables into the egg mixture, ensuring everything is evenly distributed.

Baking

  • Pour the filling into the prepared crust. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and the top is lightly golden.
  • Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing.

Serving

  • Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for better flavor. Let the quiche cool slightly before slicing to avoid a runny filling. You can also enjoy it cold or at room temperature.
