  • 4 pieces boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream Use heavy cream for a rich sauce
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Preparation

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and sear them until browned on both sides, about 5-6 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Sauce Preparation

  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium, add the minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant, about one minute.
  • Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine, and bring to a simmer.
  • Gradually whisk in the grated Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

Combining and Serving

  • Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the creamy sauce over the top. Allow the chicken to simmer in the sauce for about 5 more minutes, or until cooked through.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve while hot.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat on low heat on the stovetop.
