  • 2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain or chocolate)
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch salt

Preparation

  • In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the rolled oats, cocoa powder, and salt until well combined.
  • Pour in the milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract. Stir gently until all ingredients are fully blended.
  • Divide the mixture into jars or containers with lids, cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  • In the morning, give the oats a good stir. If it’s too thick, add a splash of milk until you reach your desired consistency. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Notes

These overnight oats can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in airtight containers. For a warm version, reheat in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, adding a little extra milk as needed.
