  • 1/2 cup honey or maple syrup Adjust the sweetness to your preference.
  • 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter Peanut butter can be substituted with sunflower seed butter for a nut-free option.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract For added flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Enhances the overall flavor.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the rolled oats, salt, honey (or maple syrup), almond butter (or peanut butter), and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Gently fold in the berries, being careful not to crush them.
  • Pour the oat mixture into the prepared baking dish and press it evenly into the bottom with a spatula.

Baking

  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool completely before slicing into bars.

Serving

Notes

Wrap individual bars in parchment paper for easy storage. They can be kept at room temperature for about 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. To enjoy frozen bars, let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes or microwave for a few seconds.
