  • 4-5 pieces large buttery croissants, sliced into halves or quarters Choose fresh, ripe croissants for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups milk Can substitute with almond or oat milk for a dairy-free version.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt

Optional Toppings

  • Powdered sugar For serving.
  • Whipped cream For serving.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the croissants into halves or quarters and place them in a greased baking dish.
  • Evenly distribute the fresh berries over the croissants.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants and berries. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to soak.

Baking

  • Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, until the top is golden brown and puffy.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Serving

  • Dress with optional toppings like powdered sugar or a drizzle of honey.

Notes

Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days; freeze for up to one month. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
