Ingredients
  

Noodles and Beef

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles Cook according to package instructions.
  • 8 oz beef sirloin, sliced thin Tender cuts work best.

Vegetables and Sauces

  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, carrots, snow peas) Use any vegetables you have on hand.
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped For garnish.

Preparation

  • Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet or wok, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat.

Cooking

  • Add garlic and ginger; sauté for 1 minute.
  • Add beef strips and cook until browned; remove from the pan.
  • Add mixed vegetables to the pan and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes.
  • Return the beef to the pan, add soy sauce and oyster sauce, and stir well.
  • Toss in the cooked noodles and mix everything together for about 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with green onions before serving.

Notes

Serve right after cooking for the best taste. You can add extra green onions or sesame seeds on top for decoration. Pairs well with egg rolls or spring rolls.
