  • 1 cup Cornstarch For a crispy coating

  • Vegetable oil For frying
  • 8 Soft flour or corn tortillas Taco shells
  • 1 cup Cabbage, shredded For topping
  • 1 Fresh cilantro, chopped For garnish
  • 1 Avocado, sliced Optional for topping

Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha Adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Rice vinegar

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Place the cornstarch in a shallow bowl. Dredge each shrimp in the cornstarch, ensuring they are well-coated.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  • Working in batches, fry the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Sauce Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar. Adjust the spiciness to your preference.

Assembly

  • In each taco shell, layer the crispy shrimp, shredded cabbage, avocado (if using), and a generous drizzle of the Bang Bang sauce. Top with fresh cilantro.
  • Garnish with additional sauce, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. To reheat, bake in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes to regain crispiness.
