  • to taste Salt and pepper Add according to preference
  • optional Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling Enhances flavor

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by hulling and slicing the strawberries.
  • If you’re using mozzarella balls, no need to slice; otherwise, cut the mozzarella into even slices.
  • Prepare the fresh basil leaves by washing and drying them thoroughly.

Assembly

  • On a large serving platter, arrange the sliced strawberries and mozzarella in a patterned fashion.
  • Tuck fresh basil leaves in and around the strawberries and mozzarella.
  • Generously drizzle the balsamic glaze over the entire salad.
  • Sprinkle with a pinch of salt and freshly cracked pepper.
  • If desired, add a light drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.

Serving

  • Enjoy your creation right after assembling it for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

Assemble the salad just before serving to prevent the strawberries from becoming mushy. Avoid using overly ripe strawberries, as they can ruin the texture of the salad. Store leftovers in an airtight container in your refrigerator for up to one day.
