Ingredients

For the Sangria

  • 4 cups apple cider Use fresh, quality apple cider for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup club soda or sparkling water Add right before serving to maintain fizz.
  • 2 pieces apples, thinly sliced Granny Smith for tartness, Honeycrisp for sweetness.
  • 1 piece orange, thinly sliced
  • ½ cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon For a warm flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon sugar Optional, to taste.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by slicing the apples and oranges, and set them aside.
  • In a large pitcher, combine the apple cider and optional sugar. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  • Toss the apple slices, orange slices, and pomegranate seeds into the pitcher, giving it a good stir!
  • Pour in the club soda right before serving to keep it bubbly. Stir gently to combine.
  • Finish off with a sprinkle of cinnamon for that warm autumn flavor. Stir once more!
  • Pour into glasses, adding a few extra fruit slices as garnishes. Enjoy immediately, or let it chill in the fridge for an hour for the flavors to meld.

Notes

To ensure your sangria stands out, experiment with other fruits like pears or berries. For extra flavor, consider letting the spices infuse overnight in the cider before serving. Adjust sweetness based on the cider's natural flavor.
