  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch dressing mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like mozzarella or cheddar)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs optional, for garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, ranch dressing mix, and sour cream. Stir until well blended.
  • In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spread the cooked rice evenly at the bottom.
  • Place the chicken breasts on top of the rice. Season them with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Pour the creamy mixture evenly over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are completely covered.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the creamy layer.

Baking

  • Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink.
  • Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Let the casserole cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the chicken in spices before assembly. Feel free to mix in vegetables for added nutrition. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to three months. Reheat at 350°F until warmed through.
