Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 2 cups broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional) adds extra flavor
  • Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping) for serving

Instructions

Preparation

  • Wash and dry the broccoli thoroughly. Cut it into bite-sized florets.
  • In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using. Toss well to ensure the florets are fully coated.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned broccoli in the air fryer basket in a single layer, performing this in batches if necessary. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  • Check for crispiness and adjust cooking time if you desire a crunchier texture.

Serving

  • Optionally, sprinkle the air-fried broccoli with Parmesan cheese and serve warm.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the air fryer, experiment with different spices, and consider batch cooking to save time during the week. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
