Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized russet potatoes Choose medium to large for best texture.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Used for brushing to achieve crispy skin.
  • to taste sea salt For seasoning.
  • to taste freshly cracked black pepper For seasoning.

Optional toppings

  • butter To taste.
  • shredded cheese To taste.
  • green onions To taste.
  • sour cream To taste.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by giving the russet potatoes a good scrub under running water to remove dirt. Dry them thoroughly with a kitchen towel.
  • Grab a fork and poke holes all over each potato. This helps steam escape and prevents them from bursting while cooking.
  • Brush each potato with olive oil, then sprinkle with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper.

Cooking

  • Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they aren’t overcrowded. Set the air fryer to 400°F (about 200°C) and cook for 35-40 minutes, turning them halfway for an even bake.
  • When the time is up, a fork should easily pierce the potatoes. If they need a little more time, pop them back in for an additional 5-10 minutes.

Serving

  • Slice open those fluffy potatoes, and load them with your desired toppings.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. To freeze, wrap each potato in plastic wrap and place them in a freezer bag for up to 3 months. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (about 175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
