Ingredients
  

For the filling

  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped Can substitute with almonds or chocolate chips.

For the apples

  • 4 medium apples Choose firm and sweet varieties.
  • 2 tablespoons butter Cut into small pieces for topping.

Optional

  • 1 scoop vanilla ice cream For serving, optional.

Preparation

  • Wash the apples thoroughly.
  • Core each apple using a paring knife, ensuring not to cut all the way through the bottom.

Making the Filling

  • In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and chopped walnuts or pecans. Stir until well blended.

Stuffing the Apples

  • Fill each apple with the sugar-nut mixture, packing it tightly.

Adding Butter

  • Place a small piece of butter on top of the filling in each apple.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the stuffed apples in the basket and cook for about 10-12 minutes until tender and golden brown.

Serving

  • Carefully remove the apples from the air fryer and allow to cool for a minute before serving.
  • Optionally, serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in the air fryer for about 5 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
