  • 5 pieces flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup Halal-friendly pepperoni slices Can substitute with cooked chicken slices
  • 1/4 cup chopped bell peppers

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Spread about 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce on one flour tortilla.
  • Sprinkle approximately 1/4 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  • Add Halal-friendly pepperoni slices (or your choice of protein) and bell peppers on top.
  • Top with another 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese and cover with a second tortilla.

Cooking

  • Place the assembled quesadilla into the preheated skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
  • Carefully flip the quesadilla with a spatula and cook the other side for another 2-3 minutes until crispy and cheese is melted.

Serving

  • Transfer the quesadilla to a cutting board and let it cool for a minute before slicing it into wedges.
  • Serve with additional pizza sauce for dipping.
  • Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas and ingredients.

Notes

Feel free to get creative with toppings! Sliced olives and mushrooms are great additions. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in a skillet for best texture.
