Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 oz each), skinless
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). This ensures your salmon will cook evenly and develop a nice glaze.
  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Allow the flavors to blend for a moment.
  • Lightly grease a baking sheet with olive oil, ensuring the salmon fillets won’t stick.
  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet and pour the honey garlic mixture over them, making sure each piece is well-coated. Let them marinate for about 10–15 minutes if you have the time.

Cooking

  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets. You’ll know it’s done when it flakes easily with a fork and the glaze becomes slightly caramelized.
  • Before serving, drizzle any leftover glaze from the baking sheet over the top.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, try using tamari instead of soy sauce. Serve with steamed vegetables or fluffy rice. Refrigerate leftovers for 3-4 days or freeze for about 2 months.
