  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips (or dark chocolate bars, chopped) Use high-quality dark chocolate for best flavor.

Preparation

  • Cook your quinoa according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine dark chocolate chips or chopped bars. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until fully melted.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled quinoa with the melted chocolate and stir gently until all the quinoa is coated.
  • Using a spoon or your hands, scoop small mounds of the chocolate quinoa mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Press down lightly to form crisps.
  • Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each crisp.
  • Refrigerate for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened.

Notes

Store quinoa crisps in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Reheating is not necessary, best enjoyed cold or at room temperature.
