Combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes in a sizable mixing bowl (if using).
Make sure the country-style pork ribs are evenly coated before adding them to the marinade.
For optimal results, marinate in the refrigerator overnight or for at least two hours.
Increase the heat on the grill or broiler.
After removing the ribs, discard the marinade and save it for another use.
For 6 to 8 minutes on each side, or until the ribs are blackened and thoroughly cooked, grill or broil the ribs over high heat.
Pour the reserved marinade into a small saucepan and heat it to a boil while the ribs are cooking.
Simmer for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the sauce has slightly thickened, on low heat.
If desired, add more sesame seeds and baste the sauce over the cooked ribs. Serve right away.
