Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 15 oz red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 14 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Paprika
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions
 

  • The ground beef should be thoroughly browned in a big pot, breaking it up into little pieces while it cooks.
  • Sauté the garlic and onion in the cooking pot until the onion becomes translucent, usually around 5 minutes.
  • Add the tomato paste, red kidney beans, cumin, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper along with the diced tomatoes, cumin, and chili powder (if using).
  • Blend in the beef broth by stirring it thoroughly.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer, stirring regularly, for at least 30 minutes.
  • Serve hot and garnish with your preferred ingredients, such as sour cream, cheese, and chopped green onions
