2 Hour No Knead Bread

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour Measure accurately for best results.
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon active dry yeast Ensure it is active.
  • 1.5 cups warm water Around 110°F; do not use hot water.

Instructions
 

Mixing the Dough

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and active dry yeast. Gradually add the warm water and stir until just combined.

Let It Rise

  • Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and leave it in a warm spot for about 1 hour until it starts to rise and bubble.

Shape the Dough

  • Flour a clean surface and transfer the dough onto it. Lightly flour your hands and shape it into a ball.

Second Rise

  • Place the dough ball on floured parchment paper, cover with a towel, and let it rest for another 30 minutes.

Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven or heavy pot (with a lid) inside to heat up.

Bake the Bread

  • Carefully remove the heated pot from the oven, lift the parchment with the dough, and place it into the pot. Cover with the lid and bake for 30 minutes.

Golden Finish

  • Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown and hollow when tapped.

Cool

  • Transfer the bread to a cooling rack and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Store in a paper bag at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in a 350°F oven for about 10 minutes.
